Julian Knight relocated to Loddon medium security prison

Julian Knight, political prisoner of the Victorian Parliament (Legislature) since politicians overruled his judicial right to parole in May 2014 and enacted ‘indefinite detention’ by a single hate Act of Parliament specific only to Julian.

Well, on Friday 26th September 2025 he was relocated from ‘maximum security’ Port Phillip Prison to Loddon Prison (government run).  Loddon Prison is located about 120km away to the north and is situated on the outskirts of the central Victorian township of Castlemaine.

Privately run, Port Phillip Prison is scheduled for closure and decommissioning by the end of 2025.   This has been know for some time, since it has become Victorian State Labor Government policy to close privately run prisons and relocate prisoners to state government corrections facilities.  Loddon is one such government-run prison, which is ‘medium security’ rated.  Julian Knight has battled Corrections Victoria in the Supreme Court on this downgrading rating since 2012 and has finally successfully have his maximum security rating downgraded to medium security once his 27 year prison sentence had been full served by 2014.

It is most likely that Julian was transported along the most direct freeway route between Truganina (urban/industrial western Melbourne) up to regional Castlemaine via the Calder Freeway.  The prisoner transfer would have been utilising a dedicated secure prisoner transport van, perhaps like something like this one.

Note: lady driver, no tats.

Else this one (from Amtek) ….

Are those small side doors for onboard catering?

Else more likely this one (also from Amtek), because it was just Julian Knight being downgraded to Medium Security Loddon Prison…

Hardly a limo!  Private but.

We are not privy to the confidential transfer arrangements of whom transferred from PPP to where else.  Yet, in one sense, a small safe van/truck like this may well have been very private – like may be just Julian and the driver for the 120 km?  After twenty years straight at PPP max security all the time behaving, that’d would have been a memorable outing, but probably not via a Maccas drive-through en route.

Yet, a change of outlook is surely welcome in anyone’s book.

Well anyway, he made it there!  Recall he battled Corrections Victoria since 2012 in the Supreme Court for his right to be maximum security risk downgraded – that was a 13 year battle for justice yet again!

It is disappointing though when one reads the nasty slanderous way certain ‘shock jocks’ and sensationalists in the media are reporting this prisoner transfer.  It  is from one prison to another. It is because the Victorian Government has decided unilaterally to shout down PPP and decommission it along with other privately run prisons throughout Victoria.

Like one watches on Google on this topic  – Channel 7 TV News, Herald-Sun and The Age newspapers reporting .   Frankly, the general public would be led to believe Julian is going to a quote “caravan park” and travelled in limousine in a tuxedo replete with Bollinger champagne, hors d’oeuvres en route, with a girl under each arm, satphone making crypto-currency deals!

The media’s interpretative version of Julian’s prison truck transport from Truganina to Loddon.  Yawn!

The media’s version of Julian’s prison van interior – prison fatigue tuxedo, no handcuffs, no leg irons but leg room and onboard 5-star catering with champers to boot no doubt.

We’re long past believing what we read in the media – newspapers, radio, TV, social anonymous fictitious shite.

Here’s for instance, chief nightly news presenter of Seven News Melbourne Peter Mitchell, where ridiculous claims that Julian’s relocation was a “prison break” and that his Loddon Prison environment was akin to a “caravan park”.

“Prison break”?  WTF?  It’s just a prison to prison transfer!   Struth!  Media drama, lies and damn lies – for desperate ratings! Peter Mitchell is more concerned with his Windsor knot than telling the factual truth.  He’s a show pony and  doesn’t have the gumption to ever make Four Corners investigative journalism.   Old archival photo of Julian is lazy – from 1987?

Media hate over Julian never tires, yet they fail to:

  1. Hold the ADF and RMC Duntroon culpable for the perpetual tormenting bastardisation of SCT Knight’s leading to his psychotic state of mind at Hoddle Street
  2. Hold Victorian politicians to account for imposing ‘indefinite detention’ upon him, so overruling the Judiciary in breach of the Australia Constitution.

A quick scan of Google reveals the usual tabloid suspects are on Knight’s case again (after 38 years).  Get a life!   May be they will write a piece on Ned Kelly and Captain Moonlite.  Clearly, G4S  that runs Port Phillip Prison, tipped off the media about Julian Knight’s transfer.   It’s a wonder he didn’t receive a media convoy escort all the way to Loddon.   Clearly, with G4S  set to be wound up at Port Phillip Prison, the staff are both desperate about their impending mass terminations and spitefully using payback against Julian.  Water off a duck’s back!

Melbourne’s HeraldSun tabloid editor Sam Weir wrote this drama queen piece back on 3rd April 2025.   Source of your information Sam?  G4S staff at Port Phillip

Then we more recently note that aging sensationalist column writer for The Age tabloid, John Silvester, wrote a pre-prepared opinionated diatribe spread last week against Julian Knight’s and his forthcoming transfer to Loddon last Friday.

What a condescending haughty baiting opening!   He states:

“what on earth are we going to do with Julian?”

Dramatic opening… and “We”?   “Going to do?”

Borrowed from “We Need to Talk About Kevin?”  [SOURCE]

Is Silvester constructing gallows in Clifton Hill?   It’s not Collingwood BTW!

Google AI and anonymous Wikipedia pseudonym authors claim “John Silvester is an Australian journalist and crime writer.”

Perhaps Silvester fancies himself as an Agatha, an Ann Cleeves, a Barbara Vine, a Pd James?  But one doesn’t think he deserves such league because we’ve read him in the Press – neither crime writer, objective journalist honourary, just an opinionated columnist who’s been allowed to get away with slander since 1987, at least from our exposure.  Walkleys are like Oscars – mutual back scratching by the in-crowd, once one reaches a certain vintage – more just longevity recognition that merit.

Tweety & Silvester:  “I thought I saw a puddy tat”

He’s of a vintage that could well have written for Melbourne’s scandalous and saucy struth weekly Truth!  Truth was all about telling on sheltered Toorakians for saucy weekend indulgences for sheltered Melburnians, but not from Toorak – it was shock jocking pre-radio 3AW all about scandals of the nouveaux rich and OMG social injustice – inappropriate Page 3 photos and all.
