RMC Threats post-Hoddle St

It has come to hand that there were two known threats dished out personally by the then RMC Commandant MAJGEN Murray Blake in the immediate aftermath (a few days) of the Hoddle Street Shooting Spree, as it quickly became apparent to those at RMC that one of their own had committed the crimes.

Both threats constituted imposed censorship by the RMC leadership seeking to distance itself from Julian Knight and to stonewall any media accusations linking RMC’s culpability for the bastardisation it had overseen be inflicted upon Staff Cadet Knight at RMC and his subsequent shootings on Hoddle Street in Melbourne just days after his forced resignation.

  1. A special parade assembly was staged by the RMC Commandant for all cadets on the main parade ground at Duntroon, in which the Commandant delivered a explicit broadcast warning that any cadet who contacts the media about former Staff Cadet Julian Knight will be automatically immediately dismissed from the college and have no prospects of a career in the ADF.
  2. The RMC Commandant phoned the family home of a close colleague of Julian Knight at RMC, Staff Cadet Ridd, who had resigned from the college 5 months prior.   He threatened the following as provided by a sworn statement by the mother of Staff Cadet Ridd, who took the phone call:
