Why has Corrections Victoria (the Victorian State Government’s department for running its state prisons) thrown political prisoner Julian Knight into solitary confinement since last Thursday, 8th October 2025? He only arrived from Port Phillip Prison to Loddon Prison two weeks prior.
This was due the the Victorian Government’s mandatory decision to shut down Port Phillip Prison, else Political Prisoner Julian Knight would have just stayed put at Port Phillip. Prisoners don’t get much say in such matters.
So clearly, something political is going on…
Mr Knight has long been down rated as ‘medium security risk‘, down from his original criminal maximum security rating.
Plus he’s in a medium security prison, no longer a maximum security prison. He’s not in Gitmo for Christ sake! He’s been recently transferred to medium security Loddon Prison, Castlemaine, which is supposedly to be all about 21st Century rehabilitation not ‘Victorian’ era punishment.
Loddon Prison is not the so-called minimum security “campus cottage style” that is adjacent Middleton Prison. The fake media conveniently get their facts wrong to again suit their narrative promulgation hate campaign.

Anyhow, how can a ‘medium security’ rated prison like Loddon Prison boast a solitary confinement dungeon anyway?
How the hell can medium security Loddon Prison be worse for him than maximum security Port Phillip Prison?
Still, no media have the guts to interview Hoddle Street culpable RMC Duntroon. Knight in 1986 passed all tests to be elitely accepted as an Army Office cadet at RMC – think about it!
All prisons have eyes and ears, so it doesn’t take long for truth to get out about what’s really happening on the inside. It has a Prison Intelligence Unit, but that would appear to be an oxymoron.
What is Victorian Corrections Minister Enver Erdoğan thinking? Or is he not thinking and not even in charge. Perhaps he has too many ministerial portfolios to do any of them justice.
Erdoğan is:
- Minister for Corrections
- Minister for Casino Regulation
- Minister for Gaming Regulation
- Minister for Liquor Regulation
- Minister for Youth Justice (and the youngies always get relegated last in the governmental pecking order).
Such is the PR for the prison, but it seems hardly to be living up to its promise of offering prisoners a “chance to change” in Julian’s case and newcomer of just two weeks ago from Port Phillip Prison limo.
Namby-Pamby ? MEANING: “an informal, often disapproving, term for someone or something that is weak, feeble, spineless, indecisive, or overly sentimental and insipid. It can be used as an adjective to describe people, actions, or policies that lack character, strength, or a firm approach.” – Google AI.]
Well, that idiom seems appropriate in this situation.
Surely this is just ongoing blind hate politics against our political prisoner Mr Julian Knight. Since 1987 he has served out his judicial sentence since 2014. But lily-livered ministers and premiers sheepishly continue to be beholden to bullying media that thinks it can control government by public (vote-influencing) embarrassment. Such intimidation is only effective though when government leadership is wanting.
Loddon Prison management and/or Corrections Victoria must have so much time of their hands to read the biased very ‘Victorian’ daily media and allow such media to be their political masters of policy and operating practice. We are aware that the media pulls the strings of puppet pollies in Victoria – recall Radio 3AW shock jock Neil Mitchell getting stuck in to Denis Napthine on live air in 2014 to drive him to politically deny Julian Knight parole and so become an indefinite detainee?
Didn’t the High Court of Australia overrule ‘indefinite detention’ in Case No. S28/2023 ‘NZYQ v. Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs & Anor’ in its decision of 28th December 2023?
Is incumbent ‘Victorian’ Minister for Corrections et al. Erdoğan so media-intimidated to keep relocating Knight around the countrysides prisons or allow justice to prevail? Politicians are there for a good time, not a long time. Whereas we at The Knighthood have been around here and on this case since 1987 – to date nearly four decades.
Victorian leadership has a reputation of being an oxymoron. Spring Street is a sheep station and deserves to be a saleyard.
