Julian Knight continues to be mistreated in the prison system of Corrections Victoria in many ways; harks back to RMC Duntroon. May be that is why he has the resilience to keep copping the government crap. It’s like ‘been there done that’, like this author:
(1) Julian Knight served out his criminal sentence in 2014 and was judicially eligible for parole. Contrary to the media fake news in the State of Victoria, Julian was never sentenced to ‘life imprisonment’. The truth is that he was actually sentenced in 1988 by Justice Hempel to 27 years incarceration cumulatively for the deaths of 7 passers-by and the wounding of 19 others at Hoddle Street on 9th August 1987. Julian immediately confessed upon arrest;
(2) The Victorian Government illegally overruled the judicial decision by passing legislation in the Victorian Parliament in 2014 specifically targeting Julian Knight to keep him in indefinite detention. Julian Knight has thus become a political prisoner of the Victorian Executive since the Act was passed, which is in violation of his human rights and a unprecedently breach of the Australian Constitution’s principle of the separation of powers between the Judiciary, the Executive (Government) and the Legislature (the Victorian Parliament);
(3) Corrections Victoria continues to relocate Julian to different prisons. So the Victorian Government has made him a prison transient, nomad, gypsie. So then, how is he supposed to become prison king-pin over time? 😎 ;
(4) Despite being downgraded in security risk rating from ‘Maximum Security’ to ‘Medium Security’ since mid 2025, Julian Knight is denied a computer by Corrections Victoria;
(5) Julian Knight is denied Internet access by Corrections Victoria;
(6) Julian Knight is denied phone access by Corrections Victoria;
(8) Julian Knight is denied access to tertiary study by Corrections Victoria, despite him obtaining a scholarship grant from Griffith University to continue a law degree;
(7) Julian Knight is denied email access;
(8) Julian Knight is denied access to legal counsel;
(9) The Victorian media with their political contacts in the Liberal Party in particular, have pressured the Judiciary to classify Julian Knight as a vexatious litigant. This is a fabrication, since the only court cases he has brought have been mostly appeals for the few he has initiated. Natural justice continues to be denied to him. He is not a vexatious litigant; the media are the vexatious campaigning witchhunters having no respect for the Judiciary, but only hatefilled political ends decades on;
(10) Julian Knight has repeatedly had his cell ransacked, just like the days of bishing at Duntroon, the bastardisation has not changed since the Royal Military College, his previous employer;
(11) Etcetera…
The Victorian Government and its prison department Corrections Victoria have deliberately and spitefully meddled in Julian Knight’s affairs since his 1987 incarceration. They all forget that Julian was straight out out of Duntroon (only elites get accepted), was temporarily drunk and pyschotic and then immediately confessed to his guilt to Victoria Police and the Court, so meaning there was no trial – just a hearing and sentencing.

Meanings of the song’s lyrics:
