To the Victims

Australian criminal mass murderer Julian Knight was wrong and evil in what he committed in 1987.   His guilt for his random shooting of multiple unknown innocent civilians has never been in question.

Julian Knight has since expressed multiple times his regret and apology for his acknowledged heinous, evil and unjustified murders in his ‘Hoddle Street Massacre’ to the victims, their families and friends and to the general public.  Most of his expression of remorse has been censored by the Victorian Government, its police, outsourced private prison management and complicit media in the State of Victoria – as exposed on this website.

Below is an authentic replica in full of one of Julian Knight’s written public apologies that he has hand scribed.  It is available for download.

This website exists for a number of reasons; one being to try to provide insightful answers to the still unresolved question of WHY Julian Knight committed the unprovoked mass shootings (his 7 murders, 19 attempted murders, the additional injuries, and the much psychological trauma to all affected by his criminal actions) on Hoddle Street in Clifton Hill in Melbourne (Victoria) over 40 minutes on Sunday night 8th August 1987 – all fully admitted, confessed and accepted immediately by Julian Knight to Victoria Police on the same night.

This website is not excusing Julian Knight’s multiple crimes on Hoddle Street, nor in any way seeking to try to revise the facts or record of this tragic and sad history that no one deserved.

What done has been done.  The horrific mass crime cannot be unchanged.  It is recognised that the lives taken can never be brought back.

Murderers exist in our society, and in other societies – it is acknowledged but morally and by law can never be accepted in any civilised society.

One key aim of this website is to educate the public that the murderous rampage scenario on Hoddle Street back in 1987, could well happen again by a soldier gone bad.

This is unless many bold cultural changes are community-initiated, community-led, and community-enforced by our governments at all levels to legally/morally ensure that the Australia Defence Force is controlled so as not to forester its training or operational culture to perpetuate what Australian soldier Julian Knight endured, ever again.

Julian Knight’s public apology to the victims of his acknowledged heinous and unjustified crime, the ‘Hoddle Street Massacre’, and including to their families and friends, and the general public.
