Wanna career in the Army with the likes of hissy-fitting ‘inclusive’ of garbage Morrison in charge?

[SOURCE: ‘Sacked colonel wants answers from Morrison‘, 21st October 2016 , by Kieran Rooney, Townsville Bulletin, https://www.townsvillebulletin.com.au/news/sacked-colonel-wants-answers-from-morrison/news-story/dab37beb1a89b9cfb492b5593a7851cf]
Former Army chief David Morrison (2011-2014) has faced renewed pressure to explain (kneejerk unjustly) sacking a Townsville-based high-ranking officer over the “Jedi Council” scandal.

Morrison, who was in Townsville yesterday (20th October 2016) to promote gender equality in the workplace, angrily refused to answer questions over his dismissal in 2013 of the commanding officer of the Joint Logistics Unit North Queensland, former Lieutenant Colonel Karel Dubsky.

<< Mr Dubsky was relieved of his command after it emerged he had been sent (cc’d/spammed) a broadcast email – which he said he did not open – from the infamous “Jedi Council’’ ring of soldiers who allegedly distributed material detailing sexual encounters on the defence email network. Mr Dubsky yesterday broke his silence on the matter, demanding to know why Mr Morrison could sack him but continued to serve himself.
When approached by the Bulletin, Mr Dubsky declined to give a lengthy response because of the emotional trauma he still suffers, but called for answers.
Dubsky:
“I want to know the answer to the question, why can I be sacked from command but he cannot?”
When confronted with the [same] question, Australian of the Year Mr Morrison was reluctant to answer.
Morrison:
“What a ridiculous assertion. You’re wrong in all respects and I’m not making any comment,” he said. “I’m surprised actually and disappointed you (the Bulletin) would take this opportunity, when I am here in a civilian capacity engaging with the business community in Townsville around diversity, to try and dredge up a matter that is years old. “You go to the Defence Department, you will find page after page of explanation. I’ve got nothing to add to that. “Do you want to move on, do you want to ask other questions or will we just end here?”
In 2013, when referring to officers who may have received emails but did not respond, Mr Morrison said they may well have deleted them immediately. “But the question I have for them is why didn’t you do something about it,” he said at the time. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Mr Morrison was army chief when six members were sacked over the “Jedi Council” scandal, which involved the distribution of explicit emails that denigrated women.
Since then, the ringleader of the so-called “Knights of the Jedi Council”, former soldier Hastings Fredrickson, pleaded guilty to three charges of using a carriage service to cause offence and received a suspended sentence.
Mr Morrison subsequently delivered a YouTube speech denigrating the army’s male-dominated culture. The video received more than 1.5 million views and paved the way for his reputation as a champion of gender equality. In January he was made Australian of the Year and has since used that honour to campaign for gender equality.
He has at times drawn controversy for his comments about the issue, including his assertion the word “guys’’ should never be used to describe a group that included women.
Catherine McGregor AM, a former lieutenant-colonel [a fellow trannie] and current News Corp columnist, said Mr Dubsky had been delivered an “egregious injustice”.
“I believe he is owed an apology by the former chief of the army, David Morrison, and the current chief of the army,” said Ms McGregor who wrote Mr Morrison’s famous YouTube [diatribe]…. >>
McGregor:
“I have spoken directly with more than one two-star general who agreed with me about this and said an appalling injustice has been done. I am now utterly disillusioned having served under him and I regret accepting his invitation to serve as speechwriter. He has forfeited my respect and the respect of those in the army. Formal recognition of what has happened to Mr Dubsky has to happen. In my view this man has been damaged on salacious grounds and it behoves the ADF to sort this out.”
Retired Townsville infantry platoon Sergeant and Medal for Gallantry recipient Justin Huggett said he would like to see Mr Morrison apologise to Mr Dubsky.
Sergeant Huggett:
“If a true leader makes a critical error in judgment that leader should be ready to make amends. I think General Morrison made a terrible error in judgment in the Jedi Council saga. He cut a very wide net that affected a lot of people. I wouldn’t be using my time to attend a leadership lecture from the man until he changed a few very important things about his leadership mentality. He’s made a very bad mistake which has hurt people and an apology is well warranted.”

Morrison was a cowardly trawling drifting longline net fisherman of alpha-males.
To ‘linger‘ is to stay in a place longer than necessary because of a reluctance to leave. T’was Morrie all over.

“All these ADF brass are far too close to politicians for my liking. I want an apolitical public service and apolitical defence force. All the personal promotion these guys do for their career after they get out is not in Australia’s best interest. Morrison will be succeeded by the Chief of Army, the position not the person.
Cosgrove is an exceptional person but most of these ADF retirees are inept in the real world, without the power of their rank.”

“I’d resign as well, with the recent pay offer that was handed down who would want to be associated with the defence services or public servants. One might also consider TA’s speech yesterday; it signals to me the start of a campaign to install martial law.
Also LtGen Morrison’s campaign to rid the services of sexual abuse is nothing more than talk, sexual abuse and poor respect for serving female’s is still rampant. The light sentences handed down to guilty service people is a disgrace, the compensation to the victims will probably never be paid.
Not good dot points on a retiring CEO’s resume.”

“I’d feel pretty ashamed to be appointed to anything by TA.”

My money is on Lord Sir Prince Phillip to take over the running of the army.

Once upon a time before this ground hog day fiasco conned their way into power, the heads of each branch of the defence forces rotated as chief. when the howard govn`t dills lied about children overboard the then next in line chief to be the big guy was one, angus houston. because of his honesty, devotion to his men and women that served his branch of the armed forces,he exposed the howard lie and was sent to the sin bin for two years. now we see ???? think about it.

Captain’s Pick. It’ll take a couple of months to come out though, just like Phil’s nightmarehood.

How could it be Campbell? Who will pull his puppet strings now that Scott Morrison has moved on?

Oh ffs. When will the ratbaggery end.
jointheteam (23 Feb 2015)
This is not good. what external pressures were brought to bear upon this decision. I smell a rat and it stinks.
noladell (23 Feb 2015)
So now we are going to have an overtly political appointment, in Angus Campbell, to head the army. The man is just a front man for this terrible bunch (we have a plan) of clowns we are calling our government.
Kinglyaffair (23 Feb 2015)
There has to be some reward for repeating the word ‘illegal’ dozens of times at the farcical OSB laughins. The GG has gone, Houston and Phil got a knighthood, that leaves being Chief. Just rewards.
