This website doesn’t embellish most media articles about Julian Knight as being worthy as ‘news’, ‘reporting’, or ‘journalism’. Rather most reek of hatefilled opinionated bias, spin, slurs, innuendo, selected police witness comments. Such trashy diatribe by ‘columnists’ and their political editors is ignorant contemptible prejudice toward Knight, without knowing the bloke nor what he went through at Duntroon. With the exception of two, and only psychiatrists connecting (the elephant in the room) being Duntroon’s sustained bastardisation of sustained by Knight. Fait accompli, it was the snowball effect that drove his manifested temporary psychosis within two weeks of RMC’s forced discharge of Knight from the Army permanently, to his regrettably tragic intoxicated Hoddle Street shooting rampage.

MAJGEN Murray BLAKE, instead of leading in real combat (though Binh Ba 1969 is noted at age 30 as then Captain? of D-Company 5RAR), this slack lazy toff got the comfy gig at posh Duntroon from kissing Canberran polly arses no doubt. He retired from active service in 1986 (aged 47) to do more teaching or oversight teaching like a school principal at RMC. “Those who can’t do, teach.” [ A maxim for revolutionists (civil war fighters) – quote from Irish Poet George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950).
Bludger only lasted in charge at RMC for 3 years (1987-1990). Recall that the six months (Jan-Jun 1987) were Julian Knight’s stint at RMC as a junior (3rd Class officer cadet). No less, MAJGEN Murray Blake had been formerly installed as the boss of the RMC Corps of Staff Cadets (CSC) there and so ultimately in charge for setting the Corp’s standards and culture, including the bastardisation which the ADF had in the years prior to 1987 claimed publicly that it had eradicated. MEDIA SCOOP NEWS!
However, for media SCOOP NEWS worthiness, according to reliable leaked insights from then serving cadets in 1987 during Julian Knight’s military service time training there, it’s come across as despicable that on the Monday 10th August 1987, RMC at its routine morning CSC Administrative Parade (scheduled week daily: 0750-0810 hrs), RMC Commandant had ordered one of his senior officers to address the entire assembled parade on the RMC Parade Ground with an important confidential news announcement.
It was the day after the deadly Hoddle Street shooting spree of the previous Sunday night 9th August 1987 that Julian Knight (a very recent former RMC cadet) had immediately confessed to committing to Victoria Police.
The RMC Army Officer (name unknown, yet could have been Blake himself) informed all assembled CSC cadets that the massacre at Hoddle Street in Melbourne the previous night had been confessed to police that it had been committed by one of their former own serving cadets, junior 3rd Class Officer Staff Cadet Julian Knight of Kokoda (RMC training) Company.
Further, the RMC orders followed that any CSC cadet who speaks to the media or anyone else about anything about Julian Knight will be instantly dismissed by dishonourable dischange by the Australian Army forthwith.
The CSC parade of cadets obeyed that bullying mantra. Self-interest prevailed. The RMC lore of “don’t jack on your mates” was always cultural mind control and completely hypocritical propaganda.

But what a poisoned chalice stonefish that turned out to be! A parable for Duntroon recruitment callously targeting young naive Australian patriots?
Join up. RMC will make a man of you, even if you’re female…

Upon every six-monthly intake at RMC, many junior (3rd Class) cadets straight out of civvy street chose to throw in the towel and resign from RMC; a few associates of The Knighthood included. But Knight was determined to stick it out, the bastardisation campaign waged against him by the senior cadets of Kokoda Company. He took the crap and then the crap escalated, him copping coward punches in the stomach, nose and head by Kokoda Coy. senior cadets on and off barracks – as documented: CUO Philip REED (CSC No 4592), LC Craig THORP (CSC No 5133), Nicholas EVERINGHAM (CSC No 4823), Matthew THOMSON (CSC No 5132). Then that bayonet incident when senior cadet CPL William YATES (CSC No 5148) on Saturday 30 May 1987 quickly jabbed Knight in the chest. Much violence took place whilst the senior cadets were inebriated.

Q.E.D. Duntroon and Murray Blake!

Julian just shot up the civvy innocents during a temporary inebriated psychotic episode of armed violence following his subjection to a sick regime of extreme torture.
Duntroon can only thanks its lucky stars that it has friend is corrupt high places, and that Julian’s car (recently sabbotaged by RMC senior cadets became undriveable).
Else the media’s ‘Hoddle Street (Civvy) Massacre‘ would have been surely ‘RMC Duntroon’s (Senior Cadet) Massacre‘.

Deservedly so? Well, that’s one hyperthetical contemplation and possible investigative story for the discerning media; mind you best only the truely qualified, moral and noble journalists of that discerning franchise to correct the spin misinformation out there to date; but not the struth-telling contracted ringers-in.
